Count your blessings, name them 1 by 1
Just the other day, I sent some e-mails to one of our favourite clients in the USA on some domain name matters. Almost instantly, received 2 auto-responders. “I will be away from 19th until 26th Nov” and the other one was “I will be off from 21st till 26th of Nov”. I soon realised that it is Thanksgiving Day celebration week. For the Americans, this is something big to them. Normally, thanksgiving will fall on a Thursday. However, their holiday prolonged until the weekend. During this time, they will take the opportunity to get together with family and friends, reminiscing the good things that has come to past through the year and giving thanks to each blessing in their lives.
I still remember 2 years ago, when I joined Integricity. There was about 12 of us or so. We have since doubled in size. Even though we don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving Day per say, but there is no harm of sitting down and count your blessings.
Hence, to start with, I am thankful for:-
(I am beginning to realize that this is getting windy. Sorry that I could not mention every fellow worker here or it would be too long.) I think you get my point. I am thankful for all of you Integricitizens for making this work place a fun place to be.
Last but not least, our Customers. How can we forget you and your continuous support through these years? Hopefully our Fanatical Service to you is in your thanksgiving list.
What about you? What are you thankful for today? When was the last time you have really shown someone that you appreciate them? Perhaps, this is the day to show it. Bring your spouse out for a meal (just both of you), chill with your children, or give your folks a surprise visit if they are not staying with you. These are the little blessings that you can count and steps to begin with to show your appreciation.
No that’s not a turkey. That’s Alex Au-yong. Our very own Ironman.
Now, that’s a turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving Day!
