Google throws up some crazy insights on Obama and McCain

Stumbled upon this very interesting, but mind-boggling find just a few minutes ago – Google Insights for Search (http://google.com/insights/search) reveals that Obama is hugely popular in Cameroon, and the US only ranks #10 in terms of search volume for the term ‘barack obama’.

If Google data is to be believed (and I for one am a believer), this means that US President-Elect Barack Obama is more popular in Africa than in the United States! At least where Google searches are concerned, that is.

Now here’s where it gets even more interesting… guess who ranks #2 for searches done on ‘john mccain’?

Looks like someone’s been busy doing their research!
