Twitter helps Integricity hire fanatics
Twitter has truly changed the way many things work here at Integricity. We have connected with others for customer support, sharing of tips, learning new tricks and recently, hiring of new team members. At present, more than 50% of our Integricity family are Twitter users with more joining the Twittersphere week-on-week. (Follow @integricity on Twitter)
Perhaps, just perhaps, we’re biased towards job applicants who are on Twitter, and perhaps, for good reason too. We feel they are early adopters of technology who understand the power of social media and what it can do for them. Integricity as a progressive digital and technology agency need to have talents who are cutting edge and can help conceptualize campaigns for clients that use the latest technologies. (Though Twitter isn’t new anymore, I personally feel Twitter is still in its toddlerhood here in Malaysia.)
Some of the comments we’ve heard on Twitter are, “Wow, Integricity is really hiring a lot of people from here!” And it’s true, we are. If you’re passionate about the digital industry and social media, send us your resume. Specific roles we are currently looking for right now are project managers, account managers, designers and we are open to interns who want to experience the Integricity family life. Here’s an example of a GREAT cover letter we received 2 weeks ago that got Anna hired right away.
Dear Eugene,
I came across your company website, and couldn’t help thinking, “I want to work with these guys!” I like all your works, and the client testimonials are just amazing. Your website is simple yet impressive…but what attracted me the most is your organizational culture — it seems very casual yet professional, with a focus on employee satisfaction without compromising on productivity; and who can resist a company whose website’s main page says “Welcome to our Family!”.
I am aware that you are currently hiring, and I would like to apply for the position of Mid-Weight Copywriter for Digital, but unfortunately, I don’t think I am big enough to fit the big shoes offered! Thus, I would like to enquire if you are open to offering me an opportunity to work with your amazing team, probably an internship? :)
More details about me:
I graduated two months ago with a degree in Psychology from HELP University College. I am interested in copywriting, and have read several books on Consumer Behaviour and Copywriting. It’s such an exciting field and I think I would excel in it if given the chance.I do not have any formal experience in copywriting, except back in university when I designed a few posters for events held by the Christian Fellowship and flyers for class projects. Back in May this year, I attended a one-day workshop entitled “Me? A Copywriter?” hosted by 95% The Advertising Academy, where we were given the task of writing a simply copy in 15 minutes, which were then passed around to be graded by other participants. Among the 15(?) people who attended, my copy obtained the highest points. You may view an image of it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mashpotatomato/3560828387/in/set-72157617953496957/. Small as it may seem, this little victory gave me more confidence in pursuing a career in copywriting, as it is not the conventional path taken by Psychology graduates.
I believe that my personal interest, knowledge of human thought processes and behaviours, as well as my passion for writing for various audiences will definitely propel me forward in bringing forth creative new ideas.
I have attached my resume for your reference. You may view examples of my writing on my blog, http://mashpotatomato.blogspot.com. I hope to receive a positive reply from you! :) Thank you for your time and consideration of my application.
