It was the autumn of year 2000 that a foundational milestone was planted. That year, an idea was conceived, and the brilliant masterplan birthed a humble company that intended to provide retailers the ability to launch into the realm of online storefronts. The maestro who had delicately pieced together his business symphony spent days and weeks implementing the plan. However, during that process clients lined up at his doorstep requesting for services that were totally different. They said, "We want webhosting and corporate email". "But I want to sell you my online storefront", the maestro retorted. Nonetheless, being a new business, he had to fill his rice bowl, and he gave them what they wanted. Soon, through word of mouth, he had more and more clients asking for the same services that he was reluctant to provide. Before long, the grand masterplan of online storefronts was neatly wrapped up and placed on the shelf. It was then, that the maestro Alex Lam had begun his company providing webhosting services.

One bright Sunday morning, after Alex Lam had been inspired to begin a business, he continued to mull over the choices for an identity that was truly representative of the company he wanted. It was truly an arduous task, as names are one of those elements in life that do not change, once chosen.

Alex then proceeded to attend his regular Sunday service at his church. It must have been God-spoken, as the topic for that week was on integrity, and the word sprang out, and seemed to gnaw at his heart.

Defined by the pastor as "what you do when no one is looking", this led to the foundation upon which the company was formed. Besides the core ingredient of INTEGRITY, the plan was to build a virtual business CITY, and thus, the business was christened INTEGRICITY (furthermore, the domain integrity.com was taken!).
